Catawba-Wateree River: Most Endangered in 2008

If you are a river, one award you don’t want to win is Most Endangered. In 2008, the Catawba River got that distinction. Four of the top 44 high hazard ash ponds in the United States are located on the Catawba River. That’s only one of its problems.
