Icelanders embrace the colors of the rainbow. All over the country saw streets, benches, and steps painted with the colors of the rainbow. This street in Reykjavik is only a few blocks long, but from this perspective, it appears to lead to the Viking Church, which is the building in the far distance.

The church in Djupavik sits on a hill above the town. Walkers can get to it by climbing rainbow-painted steps.

The rainbow street of Seydisfjorddur leads to a pale blue church, aka Blue Church. Inside, the ceiling and the seat cushions on the pews are a bright blue.

Iceland has natural rainbows too, like this one. Between the mist in the air and the occasional rain, I got to see many of them.
