Jichu Drake (pronounced Chits-zoo Drah-kay) is a mountain in Bhutan whose height is around 23,000 ft. Its height varies depending on the source. The English translation is angry bird. It is part of the Himalaya, and it is an imposing presence. I know because I hiked past it. The trek I took had so many smaller mountains in front of Jichu Drake that it was impossible to get a clear view to its base. I enjoyed seeing its pointy peak and its steep slopes. I pulled out a color image today and decided to convert it to monochrome.
