Everyday I rotate my globe to a different place. Today I looked at Africa, and Tanzania in particular. I've been on safari once a number of years ago. I'd love to go back. For the next few months, however, I'll be mostly sitting it out at home, waiting for the latest Covid surge to abate. With 15 acres, I have plenty of room to roam, which I did today.
After all the rain we've had, I hoped that by walking off path I'd see lots of mushrooms springing up from the ground. Instead, I found quite a bit of fungus growing on dead trees. I found one tree stump whose rings were quite striking, so I snapped an image. When I returned to my cabin, I decided to combine the tree rings with an image of a zebra taken when I was in Tanzania.
